JAMMU, Mar 6: The Intellectual Forum of Bhagat Mahasabha, J&K unit today organized an Intellectual meet at KC Orchid where the intellectuals discussed the problems being faced by the community.
Hundreds of intellectuals especially the service class of Bhagat biradari participated in the meet.
Prof Raj Kumar Bhagat, National President of Bhagat Mahasabha presided over the function.
OP Bhagat while addressing urged upon all the distinguished guests to pay back to the society. He said that the intellectual class of any community plays an active role in uplifting the weaker section of the community.
He further urged the members to aware those living in rural and far off areas about various social evils which are badly destroying the future of not only the community but the nation ultimately.
Prof Raj Kumar in his address briefed the intellectuals present in the function about the working, infrastructure and the motive of Bhagat Mahasabha.
“The time has come to reorganize the community to establish the identity at national and international level”, Prof Kumar said.
A small documentary about the history of the Megh Samaj was also displayed during the meet.
