JAMMU, May 24: Bhagat Mahasabha will celebrate 611th Prakash Utsav of Sadguru Bhagat Kabir Sahib on June 7 at Parade. This was stated in a handout of the Mahasabha issued here, today.
It said Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand will be the chief guest on the occasion, while Shanti Devi wife of Shaheed Bhagat Amar Nath will be the guest of honour.
The function will be organised under the supervision of Lal Chand Bhagat, state coordinator and president of Sanjay Bhagat Mahasabha J&K unit.
It said Prof Raj Kumar, national president of Bhagat Mahasabha will be the special invitee.
The function will start with the satsang by Mahant Baba Jagdish Ji Mahraj, Gadhinasheen, Baba Bhagata Sadh, Keran Jammu.
On the occasion all the position holders of Bhagat community from 8th standard to post graduation for the academic session 2008-09 will be honoured.
Besides all the IAS, IPS , KAS, KPS including PhD holders from the community will be honoured during the function, the handout said, adding a memorandum will also be submitted to Deputy Chief Minister demanding declaration of Kabir Jayanti as gazetted holiday.
The Guru Ka Langer will also be served.
